Governance also includes incident response. When national services experience disruption, your organisation still needs to deliver care. A dependable NCRS integration has a clearly documented degraded-mode plan: what information is available, how stale it might be, what workflows should change, and how to communicate this to staff. This plan should be rehearsed, not just written, because the most dangerous failure mode is confusion during an outage.
